  • DIGI.COM BHD has refuted a news article in the Sin Chew Daily which stated that DiGi was rumoured to be the next merger target of Telekom Malaysia Bhd. DIGI said it had no plans of merging with Telekom. - Bernama 

  • Puncak Niaga Holdings Bhd said that it had yet to receive any official response from the Federal and the Selangor State Government to its proposal on the privatisation of water supply services in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur. 

    It said this in response to a KLSE query over a news report which had said that the Puncak Niaga-led group was tipped for the water supply deal. -Bernama 

  • SCB DEVELOPMENTS BHD’S wholly-owned subsidiary, Mutiara Rini Sdn Bhd, has awarded a contract for main building works to WCT Construction Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of WCT Engineering Bhd. 

    The contract is for the main building works for a basement car park, a 3-storey shopping mall and a 12-storey hotel, located at Mutiara Damansara. The value of the project is RM194mil with a completion period of 13 months commencing from June 16, 2003 to July 15, 2004. - Bernama 

  • INTEGRAX BHD plans to transfer its entire paid-up capital of 196.758 million shares and 60.385 million irredeemable convertible preference shares, as well as RM47.194mil worth of irredeemable convertible unsecured loan stocks from the KLSE second board to the main board. 

    The proposed transfer is expected to enhance the reputation, credit standing and prominence among investors, business partners and associates of Integrax Bhd, as well as its subsidiaries and associated companies.  

    Integrax provides bulk logistics services and operates and owns the Lumut port in Perak, comprising the Lumut maritime terminal and the Lekir bulk terminal. – AFX 

  • Poh Huat Resources Holdings Bhd posted a higher pre-tax profit of RM3.456mil for the second quarter ended April 30 compared with RM2.465mil for the previous corresponding period. 

    Its turnover rose to RM49.322mil from RM36.942mil. – Bernama 

  • INGRESS CORP BHD turned in a lower pre-tax profit of RM3.89mil for the first quarter ended April 30, compared with RM7.95mil for the same period last year. Its revenue decreased to RM33.41mil from RM39.4mil. – Bernama 

  • Eksons Corp Bhd said its subsidiary, Rajang Plywood (Sabah) Sdn Bhd, has been served with a writ of summons by My Evergreen Corp Sdn Bhd. 

    In the writ of summons dated May 30, My Evergreen is claiming for the sum of RM4.85mil, interest on the said amount at 8% per annum, costs and/or further relief deemed fit by the court. 

    The legal action will not have any material effect on the net tangible asset of Eksons group, which stood at over RM134mil for the financial year ended March 31. - Bernama 

  • TOMISHO HOLDINGS BHD managed to trim its pre-tax loss to RM2.46mil for the third quarter ended April 30 compared with a pre-tax loss of RM2.78mil for the same period last year. 

    Its revenue dropped to RM23.44mil from RM25.82mil previously. – Bernama 

  • KL INFRASTRUCTURE GROUP BHD (KLINFRA) had on May 30 subscribed for 97,600,000 RM1 shares in the capital of KL Monorail System Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of KLINFRA, for RM97.6mil. 

    The transaction will not have any impact on earnings per share, net tangible assets, share capital and substantial shareholders' shareholding of KLINFRA. 

    The rationale for the transaction is to repay the term loan of RM95mil to AmMerchant Bank Bhd and the balance of RM2.6mil as working capital. – Bernama
