AMMB, CAHB can outperform sector

STOCKS like AMMB Holdings Bhd and Commerce Asset-Holding Bhd (CAHB) have the potential to outperform the banking sector in the next stage of the current liquidity-driven market rally, said UOB Kay Hian research head Lim Beng Leong. 

“We believe banks that have a bigger operating leverage to rising equity markets will benefit more. AMMB will benefit from potential write-backs from lower non-performing loans (NPLs) and (the strong performance of) AmMerchant Bank Bhd,’’ he said.
