STOCKBROKING firms will propose that the contra period for share trading be lengthened through discretionary financing, said Association of Stockbroking Companies Malaysia chairman Yusli Mohd Yusof. 

“The current contra period of T plus 3 will remain, but we are finding other ways to effectively lengthen the contra period, such as through innovative financing packages,'' he told StarBiz yesterday.
