GREY Worldwide Sdn Bhd, the advertising division of Grey Global Group Malaysia, has appointed industry veteran Mah Bing Zeat as managing director.

The agency said in a statement that Mah, a native Malaysian, spent the last 18 years working in Hong Kong and Singapore, the first 10 of those years with multinational agencies and thereafter on the client side.

She became vice-president (marketing) of McDonald’s and then chief marketing officer of leading Hong Kong mobile cellular operator Sunday Communications (her last post before joining Grey).

Prior to her relocation to Hong Kong, Mah worked at international agencies such as Ogilvy & Mather, McCann-Erickson and J. Walter Thompson for over 10 years and helped build brands such as Nestle, F&N, KFC, Kraft General Foods, Gillette and Malaysia Airlines.

Grey Global Group South-East Asia president Chris Leong said: “Bing Zeat is a passionate and energetic leader who was one of the early pioneers of the integrated approach towards marketing communications – just as Grey was – having been actively practising and promoting integration of marketing communications disciplines for well over a decade now. Her background and skill set will surely add value to our clients on an even higher value chain.”
