CHICAGO: Motorola Inc, the world’s No. 2 mobile phone company, has issued a warning that its 2003 sales and earnings would be lower than it had expected because the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) outbreak and competition from Chinese rivals have hurt sales in Asia.
The company had recently said the impact of SARS was worse than expected.
