Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad said yesterday that state governments and local authorities should exercise prudence in approving new property development projects to curb the current property overhang.
Speaking to reporters after chairing the fourth and final dialogue session ahead of the Budget 2004 at the finance ministry in Putrajaya yesterday, the Prime Minister said property development projects should not be approved if there was no demand for them.
