THE local personnel placement industry is expected to soar this year, spurred by staffing demand in corporations especially in the technology, life sciences, finance and banking, logistics and oil and gas industries.

Valued at RM100mil to RM150mil last year, the overall local staffing industry's performance would be driven by multinational corporations and local companies seeking junior to middle management positions, said Dhirendra Shantilal, managing director for Asia at Business Trends (S) Pte Ltd, which is part of the staffing giant, Nasdaq-listed Kelly Services Inc.
