LITHUANIA'S president took a top European Union (EU) official for a jaunt in a stunt plane to mark the former Soviet republic's return to mainstream Europe.
“Lithuania is now flying with Europe!” beamed President Rolandas Paksas after his flight with EU enlargement chief Guenter Verheugen, but he winced when reminded that his two-seater aircraft was Russian-made.
