Lower pre-tax profit for IGB

IGB Corp Bhd posted a lower pre-tax profit of RM17.85mil for the first quarter ended March 31, down from RM31.5mil in the previous corresponding period despite a 24% rise in turnover to RM80.8mil from RM65.3mil before. 

Net profit fell to RM13.2mil from RM26.3mil in the corresponding period a year ago, while earnings per share came in at 1.16 sen, compared with 2.3 sen previously.
