TNB confident of sustaining sales growth

Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB), which recorded 7.3% growth in electricity sales in the first six months of its fiscal year, is confident of maintaining the momentum in the second half year ending Aug 31, chairman Datuk Awang Adek Hussin said.

“We think, if things get better we will be looking at (sales growth) being sustained,'' he told reporters after the company EGM in Kuala Lumpur yesterday. He noted that the stock market had regained investors' confidence and was doing better, the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome outbreak was under control and the Iraq war ended.
