Kumpulan Fima Bhd has posted a pre-tax profit of RM14.1mil for the 4th quarter ended March 31, compared with a loss of RM55.9mil in the corresponding period of 2002. 

The company also posted higher revenue of RM60.5mil for the quarter under review, up from RM44.6mil previously. 

For the year ended March 31, Fima posted pre-tax profit of RM63.7mil on revenue of RM221.1mil compared with pre-tax loss of RM61.9mil on revenue of RM187.3mil. 

The directors did not recommend any dividends for the financial year under review. 

MAGNUM CORP BHD has reported profit before tax of RM122.88mil for the quarter ended March 31, a slight increase over the RM106.5mil posted in the previous corresponding period. 

In a statement to the KLSE yesterday, Magnum said its revenue for the period under review was down to RM636.73mil from RM668.73mil, mainly due to lower gaming sales as a result of weak consumer spending and competition from illegal operators.  

Basic earnings rose slightly to 4.61 sen from 4.53 sen previously. 

KPJ Healthcare Bhd has reported profit before tax of RM6.09mil for the quarter ended March 31.  

Revenue increased to RM103.8mil from RM36.9mil previously.  

Net profit rose to RM4.38mil while basic earnings per share increased to 2.29 sen.  

SIEMENS Malaysia Sdn Bhd said yesterday the company was pursuing the Tanjung Bin power plant contract in Johor Baru, adding that the contract has not been awarded by SKS Ventures Sdn Bhd. 

Siemens added that any misunderstanding to its earlier statement is greatly regretted. 

Ho Wah Genting Bhdusiness/marketwatch/stocks/?qcounter=GENTING' target='_blank'>Genting Bhd has reported pre-tax loss of RM3.07mil on revenue of RM21.8mil for the 1st quarter ended March 31 compared with pre-tax profit of RM55,000 on revenue of RM25.8mil in the previous corresponding period. 

PERNAS INTERNATIONAL HOLDINGS BHD has posted a pre-tax profit of RM5.6mil for the 1st quarter ended March 31, compared with pre-tax loss of RM19.6mil in the previous corresponding quarter. 

Revenue was higher to RM275mil compared with RM250.3mil previously. 

Pernas said the performance from hotels division was expected to be challenging due to global economic slowdown, reduced travelling arising from the outbreak of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome in the region and worldwide security concerns.  

Landmarks Bhd has posted a pre-tax loss of RM14.9mil for its 1st quarter ended March 31, 2003 compared with RM5.1mil in the previous corresponding period. The revenue too decreased to RM40.8mil from RM46.4mil previously. – Bernama 

KINTA KELLAS Plc has posted a decreased pre-tax profit of RM9.8mil for its 1st quarter ended March 31, 2003 compared with RM12.4mil in the previous corresponding period. 

The revenue increased to RM 75.9mil from RM63.1mil previously. – Bernama 

ASAS DUNIA BHD has posted an increased pre-tax profit of RM2.98mil for the 1st quarter ended March 31, 2003 compared with RM1.45mil in the previous corresponding period.  

However, revenue decreased to RM4.01mil for the period review-ed from RM6.37mil previously. – Bernama 

Watta Holding Bhd has posted a lower pre-tax profit of RM1.01mil for the 2nd quarter ended March 31, 2003 compared with RM1.03mil in the previous year's corresponding period. 

Its revenue, however, increased to RM45.71mil for the period reviewed from RM43mil previously. - Bernama 

Tong Herr Resources Bhd has registered a higher pre-tax profit of RM5.46mil for its 1st quarter ended March 31, 2003 compared with RM427,000 it posted previously. 

Its turnover stood at RM 29.46mil, up from RM20.79mil previously. - Bernama 

AE Multi Holdings Bhd has recorded a lower pre-tax profit of RM583,000 for its first quarter ended March 31, 2003 compared with RM1.43mil the corresponding period in the previous year. 

Revenue dropped to RM 13.105mil compared with RM 16.55mil previously. – Bernama 

ARTWRIGHT HOLDINGS BHD has posted a lower pre-tax profit of RM344,000 for its nine months ended March 31, 2003 compared with RM29.8mil in the previous corresponding period. 

The revenue too decreased to RM21.9mil from RM23.7mil previously. – Bernama 

KRIS COMPONENTS BHD has posted a decreased pre-tax profit of RM23.5mil for its nine months ended March 31, compared with RM34.9mil in the previous cor-responding period. 

Revenue dropped to RM 233.3mil from RM359.6mil previously. – Bernama 

Jerasia Capital Bhd has posted a lower pre-tax profit of RM1.3mil for its 1st quarter ended March 31 compared with RM 1.7mil in the previous corresponding period. 

Revenue increased to RM 44.8mil for the period reviewed from RM36.96mil previously. – Bernama 

MBF HOLDINGS BHD has posted a pre-tax profit of RM65.5mil for the first three months ended March 31 compared with pre-tax loss of RM 31.03mil in the previous corresponding quarter. 

Net profit was RM58.7mil compared with net loss of RM37mil previously. – Bernama
