MALAYSIA Airlines (MAS) reported its first annual profit in six years – a net profit of RM339mil for the financial year ended March 31, 2003, reversing an RM835mil net loss the year before.
Better than expected demand in passenger and cargo services, and reduction in expenditure through a widespread asset unbundling (WAU) exercise last year, helped the airline return to the black.
