CANBERRA, Australia (AP) - The number of visitors to Australia slumped to the lowest level in five years in April while the spread of SARS and the impact of war in Iraq took their toll on tourism, the Australian Bureau of Statistics reported Tuesday.
Preliminary figures for April showed arrivals were down 11 percent compared to the year before, to 327,000.
