THE outbreak of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) is likely to impact on the demand for banking services as economic activity is reduced, said Standard Chartered Bank Plc chairman Sir Patrick Gillam.
The extent of the impact is difficult to state, however, and would depend on how long the outbreak lasts.
