The company yesterday reported a net profit of RM119mil for its 2nd quarter ended Feb 28, taking its total half-year earnings to RM204mil, versus RM162mil a year ago.
Many brokers have called a “buy” on Malakoff for months, given its good prospects, defensive qualities plus the fact that it is currently trading at single digit price earnings.
Shares of Malakoff began trading in board lots of 100 units yesterday.
