MANILA: Despite the impact of the deadly Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) virus, Asia’s developing economies would still outperform the rest of the world with 5.3%growth this year, although that’s down from 5.7% in 2002, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) said.
China, the hardest hit by SARS, would still be the strongest performer with estimated growth of 7.3% this year compared with 8% last year, the Manila-based bank said in its annual forecast released yesterday.
