SC’s Syariah Advisory Council to add 25 new firms


THE Securities Commission's Syariah Advisory Council (SAC) has included 25 companies and excluded five from its newly approved list of securities listed on the KLSE. 

The SC said in a statement yesterday that the complete list containing a total of 704 securities, classified as approved securities, would take effect from today. 

Among the 25 newly classified approved securities are AKN Messaging Technologies Bhd, FACB Resorts Bhd, Baswell Resources Bhd, Fraser & Neave Holdings Bhd, Hua Yang Bhd, Symphony House Bhd, Kuala Sidim Bhd and Ornapaper Bhd

The five companies excluded are Bright Packaging Industry Bhd, Malaysian Resources Corp Bhd, MGR Corp Bhd, Tongkah Holdings Bhd and YTL E-Solutions Bhd.
