TOKYO: Sharp Corp, Japan’s largest maker of liquid crystal displays (LCDs), said yesterday it would top up its spending on two cutting-edge LCD plants by 150 billion yen (US$1.25bil) over the next several years to boost output.
“The specifics have not been decided but we are definitely moving towards expansion,” a spokesman said.
