FINANCIALLY-troubled consumer products manufacturer ZAITUN BHD and its marketing subsidiary have been served winding-up petitions by HSBC Bank Malaysia Bhd. 

In announcements to the KLSE yesterday, Zaitun said the winding-up petitions served on Apr 9 against it and subsidiary Zaitun Marketing Sdn Bhd were in respect of loans by HSBC to Zaitun Marketing of RM3.42mil together with interest at 8.65% per annum. Zaitun was also served a petition because it had provided a corporate guarantee to HSBC in respect of the loans.
