THE Malaysian Employers Fede- ration (MEF) has proposed that the present corporate tax rate of 28% for the big companies be reduced to 22%, a level that is comparable to Singapores 22%.
The proposal was made to help ease companies' financial burden following the Iraq war and the outbreak of the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS).
