VISA International, the world’s leading payment brand, has certified Gemcard Sdn Bhd to manufacture and personalise its Europay-MasterCard-Visa (EMV) smart cards in Malaysia.
Gemcard, a wholly-owned subsidiary of leading global provider of smart card solutions Gemplus, began providing its services earlier this month, enabling Visa members to efficiently and cost-effectively mass-produce Visa EMV chip cards, Visa International Asia Pacific said in a statement last Friday.
