Malayan Cement chairman retiring

Malayan Cement Bhd has announced its chairman Tunku Tan Sri Abdullah Tuanku Abdul Rahman would be retiring and not seek re-election at its AGM on May 27. He will be succeeded by Tunku Tan Sri Imran Tuanku Ja'afar, who has been a director of the firm for 24 years. 

Tunku Abdullah, 78, has served on the Malayan Cement board for 38 years, the last 24 years as chairman. His successor, Tunku Imran, 55, was appointed as an independent non-executive director in July 1979.
