SAN FRANCISCO: Intel Corp has reported better-than-expected first-quarter results despite fears that weak flash memory sales would offset strength in its computer microprocessor business.
For the three months ended March 29, the world's largest chipmaker earned US$915mil, or 14 cents per share, on sales of US$6.75bil. In the same period last year the company earned US$936mil on sales of US$6.78bil.
