THE National Economic Action Council (NEAC) remains confident that Malaysia will achieve the projected 4.5% growth in gross domestic product (GDP) this year even though a number of research bodies have scaled down their projections to below the government's revised forecast.
NEAC executive director Datuk Mustapa Mohamed said the country's fundamentals were quite strong even though the capital market was still struggling with world economic uncertainties.
