EON confident of fulfiling super-dealership contract

EDARAN Otomobil Nasional Bhd (EON) is confident of selling at least 100,000 cars “of all models” annually under its impending super-dealership agreement with Perusahaan Otomobil Nasional Bhd (Proton) subsidiary Proton Edar Sdn Bhd.

EON chairman Tan Sri Mohd Saleh Sulong said the agreement, which was expected to be signed by June 30, would stipulate the penalties, if any, of EON failing to meet the specified minimum volume of 100,000 units as a dealer of Proton Edar. However, he was certain this would be not be an issue and expected the company to be offered the right to sell the entire range of Proton models.
