Special fund for tourism companies

THE Finance Ministry has, through Bank Pem-bangunan & Infrastruktur Malaysia, appointed Malayan Banking Bhd and Bumiputra-Commerce Bank Bhd (BCB) to disburse part of the RM400mil special fund for tourism 2 (SFT2) allocated under Budget 2003 to tourism-related companies. 

The two commercial banks will receive RM 50mil each for the purpose while Bank Pemban-gunan will be responsible for the remaining RM300mil as the fund administrator since its appointment on July 27, 2002.
