LONDON: BT Group Plc unveiled a new logo on Monday, an abstract multi-coloured globe which will replace the prancing piper that has represented the British telecoms giant for more than a decade.
BT executives said they wanted to ditch some of the negative baggage associated with the piper as it pushed for major improvements in both customer service and BT’s image as a whole. The multi-co-loured globe, which has already served as the logo for the BT Internet service provider arm Openworld, will replace the red and blue piper that the former te-lecoms monopoly first unveiled in 1991.
