FIVE leading mobile operators in the region have teamed up to form the Asia Mobility Initiative (AMI), aimed at enhancing the mobile user's experience, especially in data.
The operators are Telstra Corp Ltd (Australia) and its wholly-owned subsidiary CSL Ltd (Hong Kong), Maxis Communications Bhd (Malaysia), MobileOne Ltd (Singapore) (M1) and Smart Communications Inc (Phi- lippines). Together, they have a combined subscriber base of 20 million.
