EDS aims to propel knowledge workers to the forefront

HAVING begun to deliver on a market-defining 10-year outsourcing agreement worth RM950mil with Bumiputra-Commerce Bank (BCB), global services company EDS is now looking to spin-offs that will give it a stronger footing in the country and region and propel Malaysian knowledge workers to the forefront of EDS operations globally.

“One of those things that will be a result of the agreement (with BCB) is we are going to develop a solutions centre here particularly focused on the financial industry,” David E. Wirt, director, major sales pursuits (Asia and Japan) of Hong Kong-based Electronic Data Systems Corp, told StarBiz in an interview in Petaling Jaya.
