ASEAN and countries in east Asia are expected to benefit from the war in Iraq as the local private sector has started to aggressively explore new opportunities in these countries, according to Datuk Seri Rafidah Aziz.
The International Trade and In-dustry Minister said that while certain industries such as shipping and hotel had started to experience the negative effects of the war, the overall effect on the performance of companies was not serious yet.
