Sime Darby Bhd's wholly-owned subsidiary, SD Holdings Bhd, has proposed to dispose of its hospital Subang Jaya Medical Centre (SJMC) and its one share in Medical Staff Services Sdn Bhd (MSS) for cash, in a bidding process.
SJMC represents the Sime Darby group's only investment in the healthcare industry. Sime Darby's decision to dispose of SJMC is part of its strategy to free capital not directly related to its core businesses,'' the group said in a statement yesterday.
