SOFTWARE house UBS Corp Bhd is optimistic of achieving its net profit target of RM5.9mil for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2003, as indicated in its prospectus, despite forecasts by research houses to the contrary.

UBS chairman Cheah Kean Soon told reporters after the UBS listing on the KLSE's Mesdaq market yesterday that the company could achieve its targets as long as it could “adjust its strategy” to counter unforeseen circumstances and competition, such as by developing new software.
