THE decline in private investment slowed down significantly to 6.1% last year against nearly 20% the prior year, thanks to a recovery in such expenditure in the second half last year.
Bank Negara noted that there was a noticeable shift in the pattern of investment, with new investments increasingly being funnelled towards newly promoted areas in the services sector.
