THE newly amended Housing Deve-lopment Act (HDA) has tightened regulations for property developers and would be good for house purchasers as they are now much better protected, according to MK Land Holdings Bhd executive director Datuk P. Kasi.
Kasi, who delivered a paper on the amended act’s impact on the property market at the 14th National Real Estate Convention 2003 in Kuala Lumpur yesterday, said that the new laws, in operation since December 2002, were “the right direction” for the long term of the RM10bil industry.
