VEHICLE sales in February fell substantially due to the short working month and lower sales of national cars, according to the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA).

February vehicle sales, totalling 25,196 units, were down a sharp 37% compared with the 39,696 units in January, but were down 14.4% compared with the previous corresponding month's 29,422 units. Passenger car sales slid nearly 18% to 20,199 units from 24,598 a year ago.
