Affin Bank launches new telephone banking service

AFFIN Bank Bhd has launched a new service, AffinReach, which incorporates telephone banking and a call centre for its customers.

In a statement, president and chief executive officer Raja Datuk Seri Aman Ahmad said the AffinReach Telephone Banking service was offered to its retail customers while the AffinReach Call Centre was accessible to all retail and commercial clients.

Accessible via telephone number 03-55223000, AffinReach Call Centre would provide a more personal touch for bank clients as all enquiries, would be handled by a personnel in-charge.

On the other hand, the automated AffinReach Telephone Banking facility would allow the bank's retail customers to perform simple banking transactions on their own during and beyond normal banking hours.

Among transactions that could be carried out via the telephone banking service are account balance enquiries for savings, current and credit cards, credit card application enquiry, cheque book orders, request for statements, requests for replacing lost or stolen automated teller machines (ATM) and credit cards and transfers of funds.

“Customer satisfaction will indeed become one of our key focus for this year. It is also part of our strategies to strengthen AffinBank's position in the banking industry,” Aman said.

The operating hours for the call centre are from 9am to 5pm on Mondays to Fridays, and 9am to 1pm on working Saturdays. The centre would be closed on public holidays.

The telephone banking service would be from 7am to 11pm on Mondays to Fridays, as well as on working Saturdays and public holidays. – Bernama
