THE Geneva-based International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) is in the process of formulating benchmarking guidelines for the international community of financial planners, scheduled for introduction in late 2005.
Financial Planning Association Malaysia (FPAM) vice-president Paul Chan told StarBiz that since early 2001, the members of the ISO Technical Committee for Per-sonal Financial Planning (ISO/TC 222) had met more than six times with input from the international community of financial experts to work out benchmarking guidelines for financial planning practice.
