Telekom, Maxis 3G plans get the nod


THE Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has approved the business plans from Telekom Malaysia Bhd and Maxis Communications Bhd subsidiary UMTS (M) Sdn Bhd on the rollout of their third-generation (3G) mobile services, said its chairman Tan Sri Nuraizah Abdul Hamid. 

“We are compiling the documents to assign the spectrum (IMT-2000 Spectrum Assignment) to them,” she said, adding that MCMC would be making the announcement before the end of the month.
