Pensonic Holdings Bhd was recently awarded the Malaysia Good Design Mark for its PB-501 model blender in the domestic category.
The Malaysia Design Council, a government agency under the Science, Technology and Envi-ronment Ministry, presented the award in recognition of locally designed outstanding products.
Pensonic managing director Dixon Chew said in Penang that the award demonstrated the government's commitment to en-courage local manufacturers to produce quality, functional, safe and aesthetic goods.
He said that the award winning product was originally developed by the company's in-house team.
“By earning the coveted award, Pensonic is well positioned and committed to move forward to compete in the international arena in elevating the image of made-in-Malaysia products. We are committed to generate more innovative and practical goods to meet the growing affluence and changing lifestyles of Malaysian consumers and the demand from the global market,” he said.
The KLSE second board listed company has been one of the electrical goods distributors in the country since 1965.
Pensonic is now a major manufacturer of home appliances.
