HIROSHIMA-BASED Tech Corp Co Ltd has chosen the Johor-based waste management specialist Bio-Mesra Sdn Bhd as the regional sole distributor for its organic garbage processing equipment.

Its executive office manager Kazuyuki Ohno said Malaysia and Singapore would be the company's first overseas markets outside Japan. It would also be going to Europe, the Middle East and US, he said.

The company has sold more than 2,000 units of the organic garbage processing machines in Japan over the last five years and hoped to achieve the same target for Malaysia and Singapore, he said at the Zero Organic Waste Processing Systems seminar opened by State Science, Technology, Entrepreneurs, Small and Medium Industries committee chairman Salikon Sarpin yesterday.

Ohno said Tech Corp set up the environmental systems division dealing with research and development activities, including developing technology on environment-related products and services.

The company has also flown in two organic garbage-processing machines called Ecubator (packaged food garbage separator) and Magic Bio-Kun (high-speed disposal equipment for fermentation/decomposition of organic waste).
