US electronics firms in Malaysia expect 10% growth


AMERICAN electronics companies in Malaysia expect sales to grow as much as 10% this year, helped by increased spending on computers, disk drives and other computer-related equipment, an industry group said.  

``We anticipate an 8% to 10% growth from 2002 to 2003,'' American Malaysian Chamber of Commerce president Timothy Garland said, citing a preliminary survey of the 18 members of the chamber's electrical and electronics industry group. The survey was conducted in January and February.
