News in brief POWERTEK BHD unit Panglima Power has issued serial bonds with a nominal value of RM500mil. 

The company said in a statement that AmMerchant Bank Bhd, Aseambankers Malaysia Bhd, Commerce International Merchant Bankers Bhd, EON Bank Bhd and Malayan Banking Bhd were the primary subscribers of the serial bonds. It added that Rating Agency Malaysia Bhd had assigned a long-term rating of AA2 to Panglima's bonds. – AFX
