Tesco opens 4th outlet and plans more next year

TESCO Stores (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, which has opened its 4th and latest hypermarket in Mutiara Damansara, expects to open four to five more stores next year, its chief executive officer Simon Turner said.

The joint venture with Sime Darby, which holds 30% equity, had originally expected to open its 5th store and more by this year, but had faced a one-year delay in meeting its expectations, Turner said.
