Need to create awareness of regulatory framework


MALAYSIA needs to tell international investors that it has a world-class regulatory framework so that perceptions of inadequate standards do not “penalise” the KLSE, said Securities Commission (SC) deputy chairman Datin Zarinah Anwar. 

“Let me say that from our experience in engagements with international investors, more needs to be done to enhance awareness of the efforts we have implemented in terms of our regulatory framework,'' she said at a conference on corporate governance in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
