New eQMS software to help SMIs in business operations

SMALL and medium-sized industries (SMIs) in Malaysia will be able to obtain a newly launched software called the eQMS or Electronic Qua-lity Management System, designed to improve the efficiency of business operations, from LKT Support Se-vices Sdn Bhd (KLTSS) under an ad-vanced manufacturing programme. 

Used in conjunction with the equipment support programme (ESP), the eQMS costs RM30,000, uses basic hardware like a personal computer and can be obtained for only RM15,000 under a SMIDEC (SMI Development Corp) grant, ac-cording to Malaysian Industry-Go-vernment Group for High Tech-nology (MIGHT) president and chief executive Datuk Dr Ahmed Tasir Lope Pihie.
