HONG KONG: Cathay Pacific Airways reported yesterday a six-fold jump in profit for 2002, on strong passenger demand, increased cargo revenues and cost cutting.
Bouncing back from the post-Sept 11, 2002, travel slump in the year-ago period, Hong Kong’s main carrier also expressed confidence in its future business, although it said the near-term outlook was cloudy.
