DHL Danzas Malaysia unit poised to record 2-digit growth


The Malaysian unit of DHL Danzas Air & Ocean – which till April 1 will be known as Danzas AEI (M) Sdn Bhd – is expected to register double-digit growth in the next few years propelled by growing demand for logistics outsourcing in the country. 

Thomas Nieszner, the chief executive officer of DHL Danzas Air & Ocean Asia Pacific, said the Malaysian operation of Danzas had grown 20%–25% over the last couple of years and was expected to be one of the future growth areas in the South-East Asia region. The local operation contributed 7.9%, or RM194mil, to total sales in the Asia-Pacific in 2001.
