Air Asia launches holiday packages

AIR ASIA Sdn Bhd will launch “Go Holiday” – a programme where passengers can purchase tickets and book hotel rooms at low prices – through the airline's website.

Senior manager (marketing) Joyce Lai said Air Asia would not only consistently offer passengers low-priced tickets but good travel packages and arrangements as well.

“We will select three or four hotels as partners to join this programme which is available at every Air Asia destination,” she said after witnessing the welcoming and sending-off of Air Asia's inaugural flights to/from Alor Star at Sultan Abdul Halim Airport, Kepala Batas, nearAlor Star last Saturday.

On fares, Lai said there were 9,000 seats offered at a low fare of RM48.88 from KL-Alor Star during the promotional period in March using Boeing 737-300.

There is now one flight daily from KL which leaves at 7am and arrives at Alor Star at 7.50am, and leaves Alor Star for KL at 8.10am, using a Boeing 737-300.

Lai said that Air Asia would increase the frequency by officially launching a second aircraft to Alor Star next month. – Bernama
