MANILA, Philippines (AP) - Philippine shares ended higher Monday on follow through bargain hunting in select blue chips led by the B shares of Manila Electric, or Meralco, traders said.
The 30-company Philippine Stock Exchange Index ended up 5.22 points, or 0.5 percent, at 1,024.55, adding to Friday's 1.4 percent rise. The index has risen 2.4 percent since last Thursday.
