THE Malaysian economy grew at 4.2% last year after registering 5.6% growth during the final quarter of the year, meeting official expectations that full-year 2002 GDP growth would come in at between 4% and 5%.
Much of the growth was driven by domestic demand, but it was reinforced by the performance of the export sector.
